Cornwall, My Love

Everyone has that go too place right? that one destination that you go to when you need a break, to de-stress and just relax. Well for me that place in Cornwall.. more specifically Fowey. For any of you who haven't had the fortune to visit yet this is one spot you don't want to miss out on. The scenery is just stunning, the locals are all so friendly that it feels like a home away from home and honestly what beats the crisp fresh air on an early autumnal morning?

I'm lucky enough to have family down here to take us to all the best spots (and kindly put us up for free, even breakfast is included!!) So last weekend we packed up the car and headed down late Friday evening for a few days of fun and celebrations. 

Friday night saw us all snuggled up on the sofas watching some sort of action film, while I admittedly fell asleep for the whole 90 minutes (nothing unusual there) before all descending into a land of slumber. Saturday had a much more productive start with us heading into the centre for a lunch on the bay before we were putting up decorations for the birthday celebrations which may or may not of involved copious amounts of alcohol and slightly questionable dance offs.

The 3 hour car ride home always gives me a lot to think about and reflect on with just how lucky I am to live in England and be surrounded by so many beautiful places not far from my doorstep. I've always considered myself a bit of a halfway girl with my love for both the city and the countryside, but if theres one place that will ever fully convert me it has to be here, I mean just look at it!
